TWO men were kicked and punched to the ground in an attempted robbery, police said.

Police have released a CCTV image of someone they want to speak to in connection with the incident which happened on Friday, April 14, at around 12.35am.

The men, aged 27 and 28, both from the Blackburn area, were walking in King Street near to the junction with Wainwright Way when they were approached by two males.

Detectives believe the pair demanded money before attacking the men, punching and kicking them to the ground. Jordan Hoyle, 26, of Park Farm Road, Blackburn, was charged with attempted robbery and bailed to appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on May 4.

Now officers now appealing for information about the man pictured.

Detective Constable Tom Wignall said: "We are appealing for information in connection with an alleged attempted robbery in Blackburn.

"While we have charged one man, we would like to trace another individual as part of our enquiries.

"If you recognise him, please contact us."
