AN activity group set up by youngsters with learning disabilities has been shortlisted for an award.
Spring into Phab, a multi-activity group based in the Ribble Valley, is also looking for volunteers who can help them with book keeping and running their sessions.
The group has been shortlisted for the start-up social enterprise of the year in the SELNET Enterprise in Society Awards.
Jonathan Leach, club secretary, said: “There are not really opportunities for people with learning disabilities to do this work.
“It’s been a challenge and I have enjoyed it. I think it’s important to get people to understand that we might have struggles but we need the chance to do it and with the right help we can do it”
If you are interested in volunteering or for more information e-mail phab@spring-projects.co.uk or call 01254 457026.
