ASSAULT: Police said an assault took place in the Pickup Street area of Accrington
POLICE are investigating after a female was assaulted in Accrington on Friday evening.
Enquiries are on-going into the circumstances of the assault which happened just after 6pm in Pickup Street.
A police spokesman said: "We have been informed of an assault that occurred in Pickup Street in Accrington.
"We were notified about 6pm that evening.
"Enquiries are on-going in relation to the circumstances of the assault."
