A LOST defibrillator has been recovered and handed in at Hyndburn Fire Station.

The lifesaving equipment was reported missing from its cabinet outside the Beeches Child Care and Family Centre in Rimmington Avenue earlier this week.

The fire service appealed to people to find its location and found it was being looked after by someone who had used it.

They had then contacted the North West Ambulance service and were awaiting its collection.

A spokesman for the fire station said: “We would like to thank the individual and everyone who shared the word to allow this very quick response and retrieval of life saving defibrillator.”
