A SCHOOL has praised the positive feedback Ofsted inspectors gave following a recent review.
St Luke and St Philip’s CE Primary School in Blackburn was given an overall rating of ‘requires improvement’.
But it was praised for its leadership, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment as well as the personal development, behaviour and welfare of the children and the early years provision.
Headteacher Samantha O’Connell said: “I am proud of the way the staff have developed as a team committed to achieving the best for our pupils.
“New training and development initiatives for all our staff both teaching and non-teaching are yielding real benefits in the classroom and delivering innovative and inspiring learning across the academy.
“The inspection team had endorsed the school’s current agenda in terms of constantly looking to improve.”
