PROSPECTIVE councillors have been reminded candidate registration opens on Friday, March 24.
People can stand for election to Lancashire County Council in 84 seats.
The election will be held Thursday, May 4, with nominations being accepted up until Tuesday, April 4 at 4pm.
A council spokesman said: “Residents are also reminded to make sure they are registered to vote so they can have their say at the election.
“If they have never voted before or have not voted for a while, or have recently changed name or address, they may not be registered to vote.”
