Today’s look back at photographs which have appeared in the Lancashire Telegraph over the years features a strange looking conga from 1991.
Community base worker Doreen Mitchell is pictured at the head of the conga of youngsters from the Galligreaves estate in Blackburn. Everyone was encouraged to put on roller skates and follow the pantomime cow as it made its way around the estate.
The crazy conga was one of a series of events designed to bring the community closer together.
Whether the pantomime cow made it to the end of the conga or everyone survived without falling off the skates isn’t known.
