BLACKBURN band New York Tourists have invited to play the main stage at a prestigious one-day festival in Manchester.
At the British Sound Project at the Victoria Warehouse they will share a stage with headliners White Lies plus The Horrors, Toy, Airways, White and Cupids.
In total 12 bands will be taking part with a second stage featuring breakthrough artists yet to be announced.
Co-founder of the event, record label boss Steven Wood said that the idea for The British Sound Project was born from a passion for music - and consideration towards unpredictable British weather!
He said: “I wanted to create a special music event with a festival vibe but without the mud!
“Our long-term aim is to tour it around the UK in other unique venues. Last year’s inaugural event worked so well at Victoria Warehouse - we’re thrilled to be returning there again in September.”
British Sound Project, Victoria Warehouse, Manchester, Saturday, September 30. Early bird tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow from thebritishsound project.co.uk
