THE air ambulance was called to Darwen after a child suffered 'traumatic injuries' in an incident yesterday.
The North West Ambulance Service said because of confidentiality rules it was unable to say how the child was injured, but added the air ambulance was used to take them to Manchester Children's Hospital.

The helicopter was seen landing at the back of the Sudellside Community Centre.
Paramedics were also spotted carrying a stretcher along Rose Street just after 3.30pm.
A spokeswoman for the Air Ambulance said it had been called to an incident at 3.40pm on Sunday at a private address following reports that a child had suffered 'traumatic injuries'.
