FIREFIGHTERS were called to a church organ fire in Blackburn.
The fire at St James’ Church in Blackburn involved the electrical air pump motor of the organ.
Fire crews were called at around 2pm but by the time they had arrived the fire had gone out.
A spokesman said it was caused by an electrical fault.
He said smoke remained in the church with crews using a portable fan to extract it.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and were there for about 30 minutes to ensure the fire was not going to reignite.
Nobody was injured.
