ACCRINGTON Town Hall is hosting a unique gin tasting event on Friday, June 16.
The Gin Jamboree will feature more than 100 artisan gins with hundreds of tonic and garnish combinations for gin fans to try in search of their new favourite, with mixologists on hand to guide along the way.

The event is hosted by the same team who broke the Guinness World Record for the largest gin tasting event at Stoke-on-Trent’s Town Hall in November.
Organiser Andrew Wilson, said: “The turnout for our Gin Jamborees has been phenomenal – with events selling out in a matter of days – so we advise gin enthusiasts to book early to avoid missing out.”

Last year, sales of gin broke the £1 billion mark for the first time ever in the UK, six months ahead of forecasts, with a growth rate higher than any other spirit sold in UK pubs, bars and restaurants.
Andrew, who recently launched his own range of Old School Gin, added: “UK drinkers downed the equivalent of 1.12 billion G&Ts in 2016. We have seen a whole cross section of people coming to our events from people in their twenties right up to people in their eighties.”

Our Gin Jamborees are a celebration of all things gin, giving us a legitimate excuse to mix up a cocktail and share our knowhow about the many, many exceptional gins that are now available.”

Card No1. (Pink) is £12 and is worth 2 measures (25ml) of gin plus tonic and garnish or 4 half measures (12.5ml) plus tonic.
Card No2 (Green) is our ‘super-saver’ card and is £25 and is worth 5 measures (25ml) of gin plus tonic or 10 half measures (12.5ml) plus tonic.
Tickets cost £15 and include food, a gin 'fish bowl' glass and free programme to take home.
