A FORMER employee told his boss he would ‘regret that’ when he refused to help him with his broken-down car.

Blackburn magistrates heard the next day, when the company director went to get into his car, it had been stolen.

Bobby Baker, 36, of Willow Way, Skipton, pleaded guilty to theft of a Ford Mondeo belonging to Charles White.

He was set in custody to Preston Crown Court to be sentenced on March 13.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said Mr White realised his car was missing he checked CCTV which showed someone in the car port where he had been loading the car the previous night.

“Because of the threats made by the defendant Mr White reported his suspicions to the police,” said Miss Allan.

“His car was seen driving into the railway station car park in Skipton and the defendant was arrested running away from the vehicle.” The court heard the offence put Baker in breach of a crown court suspended prison sentence.
