Specialist Metering company Rospen has made the move to Rossendale bringing 30 new jobs to the region.

Rospen designs and manufactures weighing, conveying and metering products used by many of the UK's major food manufacturers.

Rossendale MP Jake Berry was on hand to cut the opening ribbon at a special ceremony and commented that 'It is great news that we have attracted another great business and more jobs to the valley'

Rospen's clients include big names such as Tyrells, McCoys and Walkers and their products are also exported around the world.

The new jobs are also real hi-tech jobs and Rospens decision to come to Lancashire shows that Rossendale and East Lancashire are becoming a favoured destination for ambitious businesses seeking to expand.

Rospen director Laura McGeever said 'We are really pleased with our new home here in Haslingden and it's been great to be able to recruit local people to work with us. We've got some exciting plans to grow and we look forward to working with other local businesses.'
