A CONVICTED sex offender from Burnley has been jailed for 14 weeks for failing to inform the authorities of his whereabouts.

An appeal was first issued by police last November after Kyle Killian, 22, failed to register his address with police after being released from prison.

He was given a suspended sentence last December by Pennine magistrates but admitted to a further offence, again of failing to notify police, and must also pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Killian, of Wordsworth Street, was originally jailed in January 2015 for sexual activity with a child aged under 16.
