DETECTIVES investigating the sexual assault of two schoolgirls have charged a man.
Matus Vajdik, 24, of Thurston Street, Burnley, was charged with sexual assault and false imprisonment yesterday and is due to appear before magistrates in the town today (Monday).
Police launched an investigation after a 13-year-old was walking through the sub-way between Gala Bingo and Burnley bus station at about 7.50am on Tuesday, December 6 when she was approached from behind by a man.
He allegedly grabbed her arm and then put his hand up her skirt and touched her bottom.
A second girl, 14, was approached on Lower Tentre at about 8.30am on Wednesday, December 7 and she was allegedly grabbed around the waist.
