A SCHOOL in Rossendale has been evacuated after a bomb threat was made earlier today.
Police confirmed that a telephone threat was made to an operator regarding Tonacliffe Primary, in Whitworth, shortly after 9am.

Education officials are said to have ordered the school's evacuation and teachers and pupils are not expected to return today.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "We were called at around 9am this morning to reports of a bomb threat at Tonnacliffe School, Whitworth.
"At this stage we do not believe it to be a credible threat and enquiries are on-going to establish where the call has come from.
"The school have made the decision to evacuate the building and send pupils home."
