FOUR people have been taken to hospital after a car ended up in a ditch following a crash on the A59.
Officers were called at 10.15am after incident on the dual carriageway between Barrow and Clitheroe.
The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered.

One of the cars fell into a ditch beside the roadside and firefighters were called to rescue people inside the vehicle.
An air ambulance spokesman said: “Two males and two females, all middle-aged, suffered suspected minor injuries and were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital via a land ambulance.

“The air ambulance was in attendance and assisted the emergency teams.”
A Lancashire Fire spokesman said two teams from Clitheroe used a winch and straps to make sure the car didn't roll over.
He said: "Two people were rescued from the car and were then taken to hospital via an ambulance.
A police spokesman said: "It's unclear at the moment if anyone has suffered any serious injuries.
"The paramedics are at the scene and the road is currently closed, drivers are advised to avoid the area."
