A PENSIONER suffered serious injuries when a van he was travelling in crashed into a lamp-post and overturned.
The 70-year-old passenger is thought to have suffered a fractured neck in the accident which happened at 1.25pm on Wednesday, November 23. The 88-year-old driver was uninjured.
Police are appealing for witnesses.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Blackburn in which a 70-year-old man has suffered serious injuries.
“The incident occurred at 1.25pm on November 23 in Shadsworth Road, when a Toyota Hiace collided with a lamp post in a central pedestrian island before overturning.
“The driver, an 88-year-old man, was uninjured, but his passenger is thought to have suffered a fractured neck.
“We are appealing for anybody who witnessed the collision to get in touch.”
Sgt John Jennings-Wharton said: “This collision has left a man with a serious injury and we are now urging anybody who may have seen the incident to contact us as soon as possible.”
