A MAN was airlifted to hospital following a crash between a motorbike and a van.
The incident has happened in Burnley Road East, Whitewell Bottom at around 12.40pm yesterday.
The male rider of the scrambler motorbike, who is in his 20s, has been airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital with chest and shoulder injuries.

Police described his injuries described as “non life-threatening”.
The male driver of the white Ford Transit involved in the crash was not injured.
No arrests were made.
Police closed Burnley Road East whilst investigation work was carried out. It was re-opened by 3.15pm.
Sgt Lee Campbell from the Road Policing Unit said: “We need anyone who may have seen either vehicle in the lead up to this incident or who might have witnessed the collision itself to come forward and speak to us.”
Inspector Dave Clark said: "A scrambler-type motorbike has collided with a white Ford Transit van.
"The rider of the scrambler, a male in his 20s, has been airlifted to hospital. His injuries are non life-threatening.
"The driver of the van is uninjured.
"We closed Burnley Road East whilst investigation work is carried out."
A spokesman for the North West Air Ambulance Service said: "We were called out to reports of a road traffic incident on Sunday, November 27, at 12.40pm.
"A man in his 20s has suffered suspected shoulder and chest injuries. He has been airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital."
A police spokesman added: "Officers have completed their investigation at Burnley Road East and the road is now open."
