A MAN suffered serious head and chest injuries after crashing with a van in Blackburn.
The collision occurred between a white van and a white Renault at around 1pm in Lower Audley Street yesterday.

Police closed the road off at the junction with Park Road and Bennington Street for a couple of hours which led to heavy congestion in the area.
Shaun Chadwick, a staff member at Edmundson Electrical, said that the van was coming out of Walpole Street and collided with the car that was coming up Lower Audley Street.
He said: “We heard a big bang and then saw the car driver injured.
“You could also see him leaning on the bonnet in pain.
“Accidents do not happen on this street often.”
The man driving the car was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.
