SIX vehicles collided on the A56 as a morning of traffic chaos hit East Lancashire.
Officers were called at 8.50am after the crash - a few hundred yards from the M65 junction.

A police spokesman said: "The drivers suffered minor injuries and this is a separate incident to the incident on the motorway involving six cars.
"It is unclear if anyone went to hospital."
An eyewitness, who was stuck in traffic on the A56, said: "The cars had backed up a long way and I saw an ambulance was at the scene.

"It was very busy and I couldn't pick out which cars were involved."
The road has now been cleared.
