A MAN was arrested for possessing cocaine after finding himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Blackburn magistrates heard police were looking for the driver of a car that failed to stop and their inquiries took them to Rishton railway station where they found Asim Shah, 21.

He was arrested on suspicion of being the driver and a small quantity of cocaine was found in his pocket.
“He was actually on his way to Manchester and was waiting for a train,” said Imran Hussain, defending.
“He had nothing to do with the car the police were interested in.”
Shah, of Blackburn Road, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine. He was fined £120 with £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
