Chris West, watch manager for Hyndburn fire, said one of the large machines used in the factory had caught fire accidentally.
He said: "When we arrived the fire was quite large, but we got it under control quickly.
"I'd like to praise the company's fire evacuation procedures as everyone was outside and accounted for very quickly.
"Luckily, due to our call out time, we managed to avoid the fire spreading to other parts of the factory.
"No one was injured and the incident was over within two hours."
