A REWARD of up to £2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man who is wanted by police for questioning in connection with burglary and assault.

Independent charity Crimestoppers is offering the reward and a man with family connections to Burnley is wanted by police.

Lee Heane is a suspect for the theft of a Black Audi A3 using a key stolen from a property in Houghton on the Hill.

He is also wanted in connection with a serious assault and for fleeing the scene after hitting a police car head-on in Hinckley.

Crimestoppers is now offering the reward of up to £2,000 for information that leads to Heane’s arrest.

He is known to have connections to the Leicester and Burnley areas.

A Crimestoppers spokesman said: “Lee Heane is wanted urgently for questioning. He is a violent individual who needs to be brought to justice.

“Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is urged to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via our website.

"You won’t have to give a statement, go to court or give any personal details.”
