POLICE are appealing for information after a 35-year-old woman was robbed in Bacup.
She was approached by a man, who threatened her with a knife and stole her purse, at around 11.40pm on Friday after she left a function at Bacup Cricket Club and walked along Greensnook Road.

The black Prada purse contained around £300 in cash and bank cards. The man is described as white, aged in his thirties, around 5ft 5in tall with short dark receding hair.
DC Dave Greenwood of East CID said: “At this stage it is unclear whether the victim was followed from the cricket club and I would urge anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the robbery and has any information that could assist with our enquiries to contact us.
"This incident also serves as a reminder for people to remain vigilant at all times and take extra care when walking home in the evenings.”
