The complex, run by Pendle Leisure Trust, was closed for several weeks before being cleaned and professionally repainted.

The pool, gym and dance studio and the spa’s nail bar opened in November.

The improvements include a double treatment room where couples and friends can experience treatments.

The sauna, cafe and relaxation area have also been redesigned.

Alison Goode, chief executive of Pendle Leisure Trust, said the new facility looks fantastic.

She said: “It’s been a long few months trying to get the building back up to its high standard.

“All the staff at the trust, the contractors and the builders have been amazing and it’s wonderful to see a state-of-the-art spa and facilities.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the public back in there.

Around 100 people were evacuated from the building when the blaze broke out.

Nobody was hurt in the blaze, although some swimmers were forced to flee in just their costumes.

Private swimming lessons being moved to Pendle Leisure Centre in Colne, while all exercise classes have been moved to The ACE Centre in Nelson.

Cllr Mohammed Iqbal, leader of Pendle Council said: “I am absolutely delighted that the spa is reopening after the terrible fire all those months ago.”

“It was an extremely successful and popular centre to visit and I hope the people of Pendle and those from further afield will be able to enjoy the newly refurbished centre.

There will be an open day on Tuesday, October 12, and then the spa will be open to everyone from Wednesday, October 13.
