REPLACEMENT bus services have been drafted in after a problem with a level crossing between Burnley Central and Colne railway stations.
Bosses at operators Northern Rail initially reduced the speed of early morning services through the affected stretch due to difficulties with Brierfield level crossing.
But later trains were stopped at Burnley Central and alternative transport was offered to passengers at Colne, Nelson and Brierfield.
According to National Rail, Network Rail engineers are currently assessing the issue and no timings have been given over when the matter will be resolved.
