A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital with a head injury after being bitten by a dog when he was out with friends.
Police said the child was riding his bike in Knotwood Court in Accrington and approached his 13-year-old friend who was walking his husky-type dog on its lead.

The boy needed stitches to a deep wound to his scalp but the injuries are not life-threatening.
The incident happened at 6.15pm on Wednesday.
The dog has been seized by police and officers are awaiting a decision on whether to go ahead with a prosecution. The dog’s owners are said to have been ‘very cooperative’ with police.
Nobody has been arrested in connection with the attack.

“It appears that a 13-year-old boy was walking his large husky-type dog on the lead when he was approached by a seven-year-old boy who was riding a bike.
“As the boy has gone to say hello to the dog walker, who is known to him, the dog has jumped up and knocked him off the bike.
