A CAR was set alight by arsonists in Burnley, the fire service has said.
Firefighters from Burnley and police were called to the blaze in Branch Road at around 6.30pm where a car had been set on fire and pushed near to a derelict commericial building.
Firefighters said the car was owned but appeared to be abandoned ready for scrapping.
The ferocity of the fire slightly damaged some UPVC windows in the building but there was no other damage.
There were no casualties.
The incident is being treated as arson and police are currently investigating.
