MORE than 170 properties in Clitheroe have been affected by a power cut this evening.

The cut, which is affecting properties in the Talbot Bridge Road and Clitheroe Road area, is due to a high voltage fault.

Electricity North West engineers are on site and working to restore the supply.

It is thought the supply will be back on at around 12.30am.

A spokesman said 177 were properties were affected, but they have managed to restore power to some, however there are 111 properties still without power.

He said: “It’s due to a fault on a section of overhead line. Engineers are on site surveying the line and we will start restoring it in stages.

“We apologise for the inconvenience.”
