AN investigation has been launched after reports that a man assaulted a child on a train in Lancashire.
British Transport Police confirmed they are investigating the incident after images were shared on social media of the man appearing to put the boy, who is believed to have got on at Blackburn with two others, in an arm lock.

The incident reportedly happened on Friday lunchtime on the Clitheroe to Manchester train.
The man, thought to be in his 70s, allegedly asked them to take their feet off the seat and after they refused, he is then said to have put the boy in an arm lock, witnesses said.
Northern Rail is also looking into the incident.
A spokeswoman for Northern Rail said: “We are currently investigating this incident. Because of this, it wouldn’t be appropriate for us to comment at this time.”
British Transport Police confirmed on Twitter they are looking into the incident.
