A MAN has been airlifted to hospital following a two-car crash in Nelson.
The incident has happened in Barnoldswick Road, Colne, at around 7.40am this morning.
The man, who was in a black Vauxhall Astra, had to be cut out of his vehicle by firefighters.
He has been airlifted to hospital suffering spinal injuries
A silver Vauxhall Astra was also involved in the incident.

A fire service spokesman said: "Two fire engines and crews were assigned to the rescue of a man trapped in a car following a collision with another car. Firefighters rescued the casualty, who was taken to hospital by air ambulance."
Police closed Barnoldswick Road between Red Lane and Beverley Road for over two ours to allow the man to be treated, a fuel spillage to be cleaned and for accident investigation work to be carried out. It has since re-opened.
