I THINK it’s all going to come down to a test of nerve for Burnley now.

They're coming up against two teams in Queens Park Rangers and Charlton who haven’t got too much to play for, but I still believe the top three teams are going to drop points.

On paper we have the easiest run-in by quite a way, but it doesn’t always pan out that way in football.

It’s going to be a rollercoaster ride even with two games to go. There’s going to be nerves and tension but I think we’ve got more than enough about us to get the points to get back in the Premier League.

The 10-day break between the win at Preston and QPR can help. At this time of the season you’ve got tired legs, you want to conserve some energy. They’ll have trained conservatively for a few days and prepared properly for a massive game on Monday.

Burnley play with a high intensity, in your face, so they need to be at 100 per cent and the break could be a help. I thought it was a very comfortable win last Friday, a game in which we could have scored two or three more. For a Lancashire derby Preston never really showed up, so it was a great game for Burnley.

The support was brilliant – the full end, the atmosphere, everything about it was fantastic. They could have enjoyed the last 10 minutes even more with another goal or two, but I never had that game in doubt.

Burnley were in second gear and cruised through the game.

Ben Mee and Joey Barton took the plaudits on Tuesday night at the supporters clubs' player of the year awards and for me they been our best two players.

If you took away Joey’s past and his popularity a year ago and focused on him being a Burnley player over the last eight to nine months ago I think he edges it.

Because of Joey's past and the things that have gone on, I think that is why Ben has edged it. They’ve both been outstanding this year though, as have Michael Keane and Tom Heaton at the back and Andre Gray with his goals and assists.

But I think what Simon Grayson said about Burnley is right. They haven’t got any standout individuals, they are just one fantastic team.
