EMERGENCY services rescued a woman from a car after a crash which blocked a notorious junction in Blackburn.
The fire service said two cars collided at the junction of Brownhill Road and Whalley New Road at around 10am today.

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “It was a two-car collision, a crew from Blackburn attended.
“Firefighters and paramedics rescued a casualty from one of the cars.
“She was not trapped in the vehicle but required medical attention. Firefighters ensured there were no remaining hazards from the crash in respect of fire, spilt fuel or oil, or debris before the road was re-opened.”
