TWO motorists have been sent for crown court trial, accused of causing the death of a Rossendale schoolgirl by dangerous driving last autumn.
Mohsen Saddique, 22, and, Adil Manir, 19, appeared before Pennine magistrates accused of involvement in the death of nine-year-old Aleena Kauser in Bacup Road on September 18.
Manir, formerly of Beech Street, Rawtenstall, but now of Chatsworth Street, Keighley, is said to have been driving an Audi A5 at the time and Saddique, formerly of Wheatholme Street, Rawtenstall, but now of Rowsley Street, Keighley, was alleged to have been driving a Volkswagen Golf at the time.
The pair were each bailed by Pennine magistrates. Manir must not enter Rossendale borough except to work for Bacup Taxis, or approach named witnesses. Saddique has similar bail conditions, with no work-related exception.
Saddique and Manir must appear before Burnley Crown Court on April 25 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
