POTENTIAL trouble was averted between Burnley and Rotherham fans after today’s game at Turf Moor.
Police dispersed two groups of fans after Burnley fans began gesticulating to Rotherham fans sitting on their coach outside the Turf Moor ground.
Burnley Inspector John Fryer said: "Burnley fans came out from the ground gesticulating to fans on the coach in a threatening manner.
"Rotherham fans got off the coach and there was a bit of an argument."
No-one was assaulted and no arrests made, added Insp Fryer.
