He is believed to have caught a hospital shuttle bus to Burnley and has not been seen or heard from since.
PC Cat Horner of Burnley Police said: “We, along with Mr Miah’s family are getting increasingly concerned for his welfare, especially as it’s now 11 days since he was seen and because he essentially discharged himself from hospital when he may have required further treatment.
“If you have seen him, or know of his whereabouts, please get in touch.
“Similarly, we would also urge Habib, if he sees this appeal, to contact us or a family member to let us know he is safe.”
Habib is described as Asian, of medium build, around 5ft 6ins tall, with cropped black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a grey t-shirt and black trainers.
