A MAN has died following a fall on a bus in Burnley
Police said the 78-year-old local man had caught the 1864 bus at St James’ Street at 12.54pm on Saturday when the accident happened.
He suffered the fall before getting off at Colne Road at 1.06pm.
He was later taken Royal Blackburn Hospital with an injury to his hip. He sadly died yesterday.
PS Steve Wignall from the Road Policing Unit said: “This is a tragic incident where a man has passed away and my thoughts remain with his family at this very sad time.
"We are trying to establish exactly how the man came to fall and I would urge anyone who was on the bus at the time and witnessed what happened to get in touch with us.”
