Man on bail

DAVID Parry, 63, of Grasmere Close, Accrington, was sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with indecently assaulting a 13-year-old girl and inciting her to engage in sexual activity.

 

Drug supply

LISIA Mellaine Dwyer, 43, of Spring Hill Road, Accrington, was sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court when she appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.

 

False claims

DAVID Barrow, 64, of Merlin Court, Oswaldtwistle, was remanded on bail by Blackburn magistrates after pleading not guilty to dishonestly making a false statement to the Department of Work and Pensions to obtain job pension credits.

 

Man is bailed

STEVEN McDonald Raphael, 54, of Grafton Street, Blackburn, was remanded on bail by Blackburn magistrates after pleading not guilty to using threatening behaviour.

 

Case adjourned

AN allegation that Vince Wilkinson, 56, of Kings Road, Blackburn, failed to notify a change of circumstances which affected his entitlement to benefits was adjourned by Blackburn magistrates until a later hearing of the court.

 

Man given £50 fine

JAMES Edward Lee, 49, of Whalley Banks, Blackburn, was fined £50 by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Oakenhurst Place.

 

Charge denial

A 26-YEAR-OLD man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with receiving a stolen car. Harley Clayton Whitehead, of Stirling Street, in the town, pleaded not guilty to receiving a stolen Volvo S 40 worth £6,500 and was remanded on bail pending trial.

 

Theft alleged

ANTHONY Scott, 45, of no fixed address, was remanded on bail by Blackburn magistrates charged with stealing toy helicopters from Poundcraze and perfume from Boots.
