BURNLEY Football Club’s new staff offices will open today after a six month construction project to improve Turf Moor.

The new office build, in the Bob Lord Stand in Harry Potts Way, brings most of the departments into one area for the first time, with the aim of improving internal and external communications.

A club spokesman said: “The new build comprises a first floor extension from the existing function rooms in the stand and will eventually house all club staff.

“Supporters and clients should note that from Monday, November 30, all visitors should report to the main reception.

“The club’s community department has also moved and, until further notice, will be housed in the Elite Training Centre (ETC), accessed via the North car park.

“Visitors to the community department should report to the temporary office, which is situated on the left of the ETC as you approach it.”

From today, the only departments who will remain in the existing office block are the front-facing ticket office and retail departments.

They will remain in their current locations until the New Year, when they will be relocated elsewhere to accommodate the new ticketing and retail block, to be built in 2016.

Work started on the new building in May.

New turnstiles have been installed at ground level beneath the new build and long-term access to the Bob Lord Stand for supporters using this entrance will remain unaffected.

Other recent work at the stadium has seen 11 metres added to the height of the floodlights at Turf Moor to meet new TV guidelines.

The increase in height of two floodlight towers, at either end of the Harry Potts Way side of the ground, went from 33-metres high to 44-metres high, with a tilted headframe to reduce light spill.

The work was required to meet the latest TV lighting requirement and football regulations.
