Remanded on bail

GARY Bates, 33, of Taunton Street, Blackpool, was rema-nded on bail by Blackburn magistrates charged with driving a van without due care and attention on the M65 junction 5 slip road.

 

Driving charge

SAQEB Javed, 23, of Willows Lane, Accrington, was remanded on bail by Blackburn magistrates after pleading not guilty to driving without due care and attention in Ormerod Street.

 

Motor offence

JAVED Chaudhry, 35, of Leeds Road, Nelson, was remanded on bail by Blackburn magistrates after pleading not guilty to driving without due care and attention on Ramsgreave Road.

 

Woman, 29, raided store to pay back-rent to landlord

A WOMAN, 29, under pressure from her landlord to pay back-rent stole to fill the financial void.
Kerry Marie Yates, 29, of Lily Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to stealing beef from Iceland. She was ordered to pay £150 criminal court charge, £70 costs and £12 compensation.
Gareth Price, defending, said she was motivated by financial difficulties.

 

Burglary suspect

PETER Michael Hawley, 55, of Commercial Street, Oswaldtwistle, was sent on bail to Preston Crown Court when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates.
He pleaded not guilty to burglary at Bumble Bees Nursery in Blackburn and theft of a cash tin containing £1,000.
