A56 lane closures for safety works put in place this week
ROADWORKS to improve safety for drivers and pedestrians are being put in place this week on the A56 in Haslingden.
The main works, due to be completed in January, will be near the junction with the A680 with new steel safety barriers and better pedestrian crossing including a new crossing island planned.

Overnight, from 8pm to 5am, there will be lane closures in place during the week including some full carriageway closures on Sunday night and clearly-signed diversions in place.
