A 24-YEAR-OLD man tried to bite his ex-partner when he turned up at her house in a drunken state.
Blackburn magistrates heard Jake Robert Doran was ordered out of the house by a friend of the victim but returned later in the day.
This time she gathered her children and fled because she thought he was going to ‘kick off’ again.
Doran, of Ivison Road, Darwen, pleaded guilty to assaulting Leanne Duckworth, damaging a plate belonging to her and harassment.
He was sentenced to 16 weeks in custody suspended for 12 weeks, made subject to a 50-hour rehabilitation requirement, ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work and pay a £150 criminal court charge and £150 compensation.
He was also made subject to a restraining order for 12 months.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said Doran was extremely drunk and was questioning Miss Duckworth about her current relationships.
“He suddenly grabbed her and tried to bite her arm,” said Miss Allan.
When Doran returned for the second time Miss Duckworth left the house and when she returned with a friend found a plate had been smashed.
Miss Allan said Doran was released on bail after being charged with those offences and then started sending Miss Duckworth text messages which amounted to harassment.
