A 32-YEAR-OLD man who booked into a Ribble Valley hotel went on to burgle the room of another guest, attempted to get into another room and stole from a nearby house.
Blackburn magistrates heard after being blocked by the occupant from entering the second room, Adam Carl Vickerage climbed up a fire escape and tried to get in through a window.

Vickerage, 32, of Kingscliff Road, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to burglary of a room at the Calf’s Head and theft of five rings and perfume worth £750, attempted burglary of another room and burglary at Abbey House and theft of computer equipment worth £1,000. He was sent on bail to Preston Crown Court to be sentenced on January 4.
Vickerage, who had no previous convictions, told police he couldn’t remember anything because he was so drunk. He told the court: “What I have done has sickened me, it was completely out of character.”
