FLOOD ALERT: Environment Agency issues warning
A FLOOD alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for many areas in the Ribble Valley.
The Agency said that its possible for flooding to occur in the River Ribble and River Hodder and other watercourses between Settle and Samlesbury, including Clitheroe, Gisburn, Sawley, Waddington and Ribchester.

Low lying land and roads are likely to be affected first.
More rain is forecast over the next few days, which could cause the rivers to rise further.
