Blackburn thief stole 'peep' bras and 'bumless' briefs from Ann Summers and spat at security guard

Scot McKay, 38, of the Salvation Army hostel, Heaton Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to theft of computer games worth £57 from Head, children’s clothing worth £220 from British Home Stores and five Penelope peep bras and six pairs of Penelope briefs from Ann Summers.

He also pleaded guilty to assaulting Jamie Johnson and using threatening behaviour.

He was jailed for four weeks but the court was told he was being recalled on prison licence which will keep him behind bars until March.

He was also ordered to pay £180 criminal court charge and £80 victim surcharge on his release.

Alex Mann, prosecuting, said McKay was clearly under the influence of something when he removed arms full of clothing from British Home Stores and the unusual items from Ann Summers.

 

Disqualified Blackburn driver jailed after being caught behind the wheel just weeks after 18-month ban

DISQUALIFED driver, Usman Ali Rasul, 23, of Clarendon Road, Blackburn, was caught behind the wheel weeks after he had been banned for 18 months and made subject to a suspended prison sentence.

Blackburn magistrates heard Rasul claimed his brother had been driving, but he was convicted after trial and jailed for a total of 38 weeks.

Rasul, was also banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay £80 victim surcharge.

 

Accrington drugs ‘lieutenants’ jailed for nearly 20 years after being caught with stash of heroin, handgun and silencer

Nadeem Abbas and next-door neighbour Zaheer Mahmood was been imprisoned for their roles in a drugs network which stretched from Accrington to Bradford.

Abbas, 33, and Mahmood, 49, were caught with heroin valued at £40,000, along with a hydraulic press which is used in the manufacture of street drugs, after police raided a house in Persia Street in November 2013, as part of a series of co-ordinated busts across the two counties.

The pair were each convicted of the drugs conspiracy and possession of the firearms after a two-week long trial at Burnley Crown Court. Mahmood was jailed for 12 years and Abbas for seven-and-a-half years.

 

Convicted Accrington sex offender jailed for life after kidnapping girl and shoving her in boot

IMRAN KHAN

Convicted sex offender, Imran Khan, 34, who kidnapped a six-year-old girl from an East Lancashire street and shoved her in the boot of his car so he could molest her was jailed for life.

Khan, of Pendle Street, Accrington, known previously as Imran Pervez, had completed a sex offenders treatment programme just months before.

He pleaded guilty to kidnap, committing the kidnap with intent to carry out a sexual offence and inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity. Khan must serve a minimum term of six years and 215 days.

 

 

Drug addict asked Blackburn magistrates for 'jail time’ to get clean

A 28-YEAR-OLD man who blamed his offending on drug problems asked magistrates to lock him up so he could get clean.

Blackburn magistrates heard Scott Thackaray stole to fund his habit and eventually committed an act of criminal damage to a door at the Probation Service out of sheer frustration.

He was jailed for four weeks and ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £180 criminal court charge.

Aftab Bakhat, defending, said his client realised he faced custody and instructed him not to resist that.
