SUSPECTED drug dealers arrested in high profile police dawn raids may stand trial next year.

A man from Bury and five Bolton men were among 10 people arrested under Operation Challenger when Lancashire Police, supported by Greater Manchester Police, searched properties in Bury, Bolton and Preston on September 17.

A preliminary hearing was held at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday where the cases against the defendants, including Dhiren Lad, aged 33, of Stanley Road, Bury, were adjourned until December 10.

He is charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs and appeared via video before being remanded back into custody.

A trial has been provisionally set for March 17 next year.
