AN AWARD-WINNING Italian restaurant in Whalley has recently added ‘Best Pasta’ to its collection.

Cucina Seventy Three in King Street won the top prize and was a finalist in the best restaurant under 50 seats category at the English Italian Awards.

Thousands of eateries across the country were nominated and five in each category were shortlisted for the final held in Manchester.

They were then scored by independent judges and the winners crowned.

Brother and Sister Fabbio and Raffaella Fiocca, who own Cucina Seventy Three, were delighted with the win.

Rafaella said: “We couldn’t believe we’d won and we would like to thank all our customers for their votes.”

La Locanda in Main Street, Gisburn, was named the best Italian restaurant under 50 seats in the country and Burnley’s Bellissimo cafe bar was crowned the best Italian cafe. The Pack in Belthorn was a runner-up.
