WEEK three of the show stopping, feet tapping BBC One phenomenon, Strictly and one thing that helps dancers is the music, and the sound and singers that the Dave Archer Orchestra produced for Movie Week was outstanding.

Carol & Pasha Quickstep C3 D5 L5 B4 T17

Some very nice foot placings and recognisable steps from these two however, Carol did get a little behind Pasha half way through. Carol is improving week on week now and is showing signs of accomplishing a true performance.

Anthony & Oti Paso Doblé C4 D6 L5 B4 T19

I thought this was going to be amazing and to be honest it started extremely well, but unfortunately the lack of Paso Doblé spoilt the performance as it just became very static.

Katie & Anton Cha Cha C4 D6 L5 B3 T20

Katie looked a million dollars and is a very pretty woman. I did find the routine quite flat and very static. I didn’t really understand the choreography if I am honest but these two can go a very long way in the competition and now need to keep up the hard work.

Kellie & Kevin Charleston C8 D8 L8 B7 T32

A perfect Charleston full of high energy, high standard and amazing choreography. Very, very well done and made to look effortless.

Ainsley & Natalie Cha Cha C3 D6 L6 B5 T20

Ainsley can really shift his thing and his solo sections in the dramatised pieces were really good, however the Cha Cha section was off time and Ainsley missed his placings unfortunately.

Georgia & Giovani Rumba C7 D7 L6 B7 T 27

Beautiful leg line, with fine controlled style, amazing spins and strong passion. I loved it. I do agree with Len and the content could have been fuller, however the dance ability was top notch.

Helen & Aljaz Foxtrot C7 D7 L7 B8 T32

Helen owned the floor in this Foxtrot and glided around the room with ease. Great control, footwork and placement, very well danced.

Daniel & Krisina Cha Cha C4 D6 L6 B5 T21

A lively performance with some great little acting moments. The basic action was not quite sharp enough for me and became a little lame. Daniel now needs to work on his footwork and technique a little more.

Kirsty & Brendan American Smooth C5 D6 L6 B6 T23 On the whole their Foxtrot was quite good. Kirsty got behind a little bit and Brendan had to help her recover. Kirsty would have gained from a slightly longer leg line but a good attempt and good lift work.

Peter & Jeanette Paso Doble C7 D7 L7 B7 T28

I think I am missing something, the last eight counts were good but I found the rest of the routine very skippy and for me lacked the true Paso attitude. It was very dramatic and performed well. Does anyone else feel the same?

Jamelia & Tristan Salsa C6 D7 L6 B6 T25

A little static salsa that lacked fluidity. A vast improvement on last week and an improvement in technique but more work is still needed.

Jeremy & Karen Charleston C3 D7 L7 B7 T24

A cheeky little Charleston from Jeremy, perfectly choreographed, amazing kicks, flicks and swivels. Great technique and the hard work has paid off.

Anita & Gleb American Smooth Viennese Waltz C6 D8 L8 B7 T29

A very dramatic Viennese Waltz with only just enough dance content. Great control from Anita on the floor lift. I would love to see this performed again in a few more weeks.

Jay & Aliona Jive C9 D9 L9 B10 T37

Great energy levels throughout with very clean flicks and kicks made to look effortless. Easily the best dance of the night. A perfect Jive.

Sunday Results Show

A fabulous opening from our professionals with Ainsley and Natalie, Anthony and Oti in the dreaded dance off, but it was Ainsley’s happy feet that saved the day and get to dance another day.
