A MAN has died after being hit by a train this morning near Chorley.
The man's body was found on the track near to Coppull at around 6.30am.
The line was closed for nearly three hours whilst the man's body was recovered and British Transport Police carried out investigation work.

The closure caused long delays for passengers travelling on the West Coast mainline, which links London to Glasgow via Preston and Wigan.
A British Transport Police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
“We were called at around 6.30 to reports that a person had been struck by a train and killed near to Coppull,” said the spokesman.
“Our officers, together with ambulance services and Lancashire Police attended the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious at this stage. We are in the process of trying to identify the deceased and notify his family.
“Once we have done that a report will be passed to the coroner.”
